¡OYEME! MUSIC SERIES
Perelman Arts Center at 7pm

Welcome to ¡OYEME! Music Series, a monthly showcase bringing you la musica de la gente at PAC NYC. Come celebrate hip-hop and Latinidad while you let go for an hour to dance with Pedro Fortunato’s Merengue & Bachata rhythms (6/28), and listen to First Life (7/26), bringing it back to the basics with turntables and hip-hop samples. Cut a rug with DJ Alaska’s (9/26) fusion of boombat rap and R&B, painting the dance floor one beat at a time. Get lost in Yaissa Jimenez’s (9/27) beatnik poetry. Tune in to the lyricist Meliki Hurd (10/24) and jammed out to his raps before closing out the series with Break Out The Crazy (11/21), the Spanglish pop duo defying musical boundaries with a kaleidoscope of sounds and vibes!

MERCEDES MUSIC TOURS

Citymeals, Musical Theatre Factory, Dementia Spring partnered to create Mercedes Music Tours, for the project “Mercedes” a multimedia art and community service project. Citymeals is hosting celebrations at older adult centers in all five boroughs, plus special meal deliveries. In each senior center we host dance workshops along with music from the Mercedes stage production in development by Musical Theatre Factory and performed live by Pedro Fortunato. We delivered meals and Pedro Fortunato delivers personal serenades to homebound older adults in the neighborhood. All the participants receive a care package at the end of the day with resources they may need and supplies to continue art making in their free time! The Mercedes Music Tour will continue August in Queens, September in Staten Island, and in Brooklyn in October.
